Luke's Love -- A Boundless Playground

"It is exceptional to find a playground in a community that is barrier-free.
Built so that all children, with and without disabilities, can engage in productive play."

This is a project that is proposed for the Lombard Property adjacent to the baseball field
and Old Selectman's Building Gallery.  To learn more, visit: Luke Vincent Powers Foundation

The Luke Vincent Powers Foundation held a Logo Competition for
"Luke's Love” ~ A Boundless Playground"®.

This playground will be built so that all children, with and without disabilities, can engage in productive play.  The Foundation’s goal is to construct the 7,500 square foot play area on a parcel of land in the village of West Barnstable which is supported by the West Barnstable Civic Association, Old King's Highway Historic Commission and pending acceptance by the Lombard trustee and Town Council.

The "Luke's Love" Logo Competition was open to all Cape Cod residents who were current High School students at public, private, or home-schooled locations. The winning logo will be used on the playground signage, as well as any and all materials related to the promotion of the project, including but not limited to fundraising campaigns, marketing materials, and the playground's future web site.

The panel of judges included: Leslie Fishlock of Genevate, Paula Hersey of Penguin Digital Design, Dina Lyons of Dina Lyons Design, Beth and Todd Marcus of Cape Cod Beer, Andrew Newman of Newman Design and Suzanne and William Powers, co-founders of the Luke Vincent Powers Foundation.
