Summer Fête en Plein Air 2012
On Saturday, June 23rd, the West Barnstable Civic Association will hold its second Summer Fête en plein air, an all-day community wine tasting and social event, on the grounds of Pastiche of Cape Cod. Last year, because of your generosity and support, we provided two scholarships to Cape Cod high school students. This year we hope to continue that momentum and raise additional funds to support more and larger scholarships.
The all-day event will include children’s activities at the Old Fire Station in the morning, workshops, antiques appraisals, and a wine and food pairing in the afternoon, and a Grand Tasting gala with music and raffles from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The evening gala will once again include imported and domestic wines donated by Phil Wallace of “Grape Moments” and a selection of beers donated by Sam Adams and Stella Artois. Several highly-regarded local restaurants have already agreed to donate an eclectic selection of foods and desserts and Cape Cod Life will be one of our Platinum Sponsors.

In addition to raising money for the Scholarship Fund, your sponsorship and donations will help the West Barnstable Civic Association meet the following goals:

•Create and maintain community and village awareness and spirit.

•Engage younger residents of West Barnstable in the Association

•Execute a fun, sophisticated event that is inclusive of both residents and businesses

•Donate to the grounds/structure at the Barnstable-West Barnstable Elementary School.

•Finance and /or support recycling efforts as well as “receptacles” at the Community Building and
surrounding yard.
This year the WBCA Board is comprised of a diverse group, enthusiastic and anxious to give back to West Barnstable, showcase what the Village has to offer, and foster community spirit. We look forward to your support to make this year’s event a huge success.
